• My son B.Saiakash is at present studying in VII Sapphire. He joined KSR Akshara Academy last year. I am greatly satisfied by the progress my son has made after joining this school. He has improved not only academic wise but there is overall development. He has learnt a sense of co-operation. His social skills have developed. He has helping tendency towards his fellowmen. His language skills also improved.

The most fascinating part is learning is stress free. The teachers are child friendly but at the same time very particular about discipline.

I am true heartedly very grateful to the school for the remarkable progress my child has made. Thank you for giving an opportunity to pen down my opinion.

  • My daughters Menmitha and Poomitha are enjoying their schooling in Akshara. The school provides great support to my children.

As a parent I have always been worried about my kid’s future. I was wondering that it would be nice to do a course on parenting as I didn’t know what to expect from her. Through Akshara I have found an institution which guides the parents with the art of 21st century parenting. I am always looking forward to their parenting workshops and theme letters as they always introduce new information.

  • I am S.Sujatha mother of S.Sudikshan IV-C. He has been in Akshara from the day Akshara opened, I have no doubts about the efficiency of this institution.

Now I have no regrets, because Sudikshan as compared to the previous years, has improved gradually in extra-curricular activities like handwriting, participating in events, spoken language etc.

The principal and the staff are really sincere and good. Even if I have some problems at times, I am free to express it and find a solution as soon as possible.

I really want Sudhikshan to get involved more in stage programs, be bold and bright in addition to academics. He must excel in his personal attitude to face the world optimistically in future. I expect all these dreams will come true with your great support, appreciation and motivation.

  • I am the parent of B. Avanthika of V-A. We have been associated with this school for the past two years. The school makes every possible effort for the betterment of the students. They take a lot of interest not only in academics but, extracurricular activities also.

There is the science club, Robotics, Dramatics, Key board, Vocal and sports activities which aim for the all round development of the child. Children are allowed to conduct classes and take seminars which bring out the leadership quality in them and banish shyness.

Teachers are specially trained for communicating with the children, hence the children’s vocabulary, pronunciation and reading skills have greatly increased both in English and Tamil.

I see a lot of changes in Avanthika. She has started thinking in different angles about a situation. Her shyness has reduced a lot and she has become bold. Her vocabulary and spoken English has also improved a lot.

  • Mothers’ Carnival

The routine of each day makes life quite dull for most of us. The flavor remains when there is always a new kind of spice being added to life. Mother’s Carnival help at Akshara Academy was one such new spice added to our routine life and it was great!

Hats off to the students and teachers who have organized all the events enthusiastically in an efficient manner.

This event promoted a greater degree of personal interaction between parents, thus creating a friendly atmosphere. This again will reflect and development in academic and as well as in extracurricular activities.

In each and every event, I could find mother’s involvement and dedication which again gave us many creative ideas.

I hope this event will be conducted each and every year.

  • Mothers’ Carnival

KSR Akshara Academy Senior Secondary School organized ‘Mother’s Carnival’ on Dec.28, 2013. Where different competitions like Mehandhi, Rangoli, Craft etc., held for mothers. Mother participated enthusiastically in these competitions.

I am also participated in ‘Rangoli’ competition. Only flowers should be used for making rangoli. I am very much fond of flowers that’s why decided to participate in it. There was an idea in my mind of making ‘Lord Ganesha’ with flowers. It was an holistic symbol. The previous day of competition, I bought colourful flowers and made it ready for the same.

On the day of competition when I reached at the school venue, I was welcomed by the teachers and students with good hospitality. Atmosphere there was very exciting. Everything seemed perfectly organized and well conducted. Students guided us very well.

I completed my ‘Rangoli’ in the given duration. Then, I visited other competitor’s work also which were very nice and inspiring too. Delicious lunch was also organized for all the participants. I felt very happy and satisfied by participating in this competition. These types of competitions provide a platform for housewives like me to show their talents.

So, on behalf of all the participants ( mothers ) I thank ‘AKSHARA’ very much for organizing the carnival. And hope the school will provide more opportunities in future too.

  • Mothers’ Carnival

My mom is all-in-all at home. From her routine course of her day, from tiring back breaking works to resting hours of the afternoon, she had her day till. But December 28, 2013 was her day out. She was back to school. No wonder she had been a live wire in a carnival for mother’s of our school.

My school has conducted various competitions to the mothers of all the students to celebrate Mothers’ day carnival. The competitions were cooking without fire, rangoli, throwball, singing, Mehandi etc. Most of the mothers participated in the competitions to win the prizes and enjoyed doing their best. My mother too participated in cooking without fire but with the fire but with the same inspiration and I hope she cooked well. She prepared herself a lot like everyone in the competition. All mothers were at their best at cooking. I think the competition would be so hard for my mother. She also came to know many dishes which could be cooked without fire and which are healthy. We hope that our school has given them a grant opportunity to express their talents in different ways and I encouraged her well. I enjoyed being with my mother on that day. And I had a good experience to learn more skills from those competitions. I should thank our management for giving such a wonderful opportunity for my mother and me. Also she thought of doing some traditional dish. Then she collected some information from my aunt. And she asked her friends, my neighbours and my grandmother.

And totally she has collected recipes for three dishes. And the day before competition, she was so nervous. Even though she hasn’t tried those dishes before. The previous day has started trying to do those dishes. She was also worried about her dishes the previous night as she was not able to add the quantities properly for the dishes. But eventhough she tried a lot to make it nice and to make the judges feel good. And even at the day of competition she felt so bat that what would others prepare, whether she could cook prepare well or not. After the competition she said that she has added an item at more quantity. But she herself not compromise that she should not worry because participation is enough, we shouldn’t be so confident to get prize. And she felt that this could be the opportunity to show her talent. She felt so graceful to the school for giving them such a wonderful one day platform to forget their worries.

    Hats off Akshara!

  • Mothers’ Carnival

The mothers’ carnival provided parents a chance to show their talents. I am sure that all the parents had an enjoyable day. I also enjoyed hanging out with my mother.

I am glad that she got many recipes from parents who had participated in cooking without fire competition. Parents showed their creativity in the “Craft Contest”. Some of the crafts exhibited the creativity of the parents. It also provided a chance for us to know about our mothers’ talent. The throw ball tournament was really nice. I was happy to see my mom play enthusiastically. The parents were enthused to play against the teachers. I am sure parents had a fabulous day and will remember this day for many more years to come. Like every parent even my mother prepared a lot. She went for throw ball practice with her friends. She was excited to interact with other parents. She got some suggestion from neighbours for rangoli competition. My mom had a problem in closing weather to participate in the carnival. But we motivated to join the contests. She was scared about whether she could finish her rangoli within time. By god’s grace she has completed her task successfully.

    Mothers’ Carnival

I A.Fathima Zahra of VIII, felt very proud to have my mother on the day of Mothers’ Carnival on December 28, 2013. My mother had participated in two competitions. My mother collected lots of recipes from various resources.

First, she took part in cooking competition. While my mother had come to know there is a contest my mother does not feel any apprehensive. My mother also felt nervous. She got shivering by seeing her competitions doing very well. My mother had fused for dishes to make falooda. Also my mother had not done these kind of dishes ever before. At the day of competition she gave lots of importance to make the recipes more than our breakfast at the arrival of our van also. My mother had a great experience also by seeing lot of other kinds of dishes by seeing the performance of other of other participants in Akshara. My mother also participated in craft. She had done a clock by waste material from the broken clock, CD’s which could not be used, and a frame of embroidery with thermocol. I hope she had done well. I hope my mother had competed with various good competitors as I had seen many other mothers participated with great interest. My friends and I had a great opportunity to motivate our mothers to participate in various competitions and also we would like to thank our teachers and the management for arranging such a good program. So, that our mothers could show their talent in various aspects. I understood from this competition that participation is first, Prize is next.
